Julian Pridgen - AME Zion Church - 2024 Candidate For Bishop

Hey there, my name is Julian Pridgen and I'm a candidate for the Office of Bishop in our beloved Zion. I was born and elevated in a area called Whiteville, North Carolina, a little southeastern farming neighborhood situated in the coastal plains of the state. As for church, my family's origins are deeply planted in the St. Mark AME Zion Church, Whiteville, where the Pridgen name is etched in the foundation of that framework today. My love for Christ and the church is historical as I've served the church from a little boy as an acolyte, usher, aide superintendent of the church school, Christian education, priest, and a lot more. After finishing senior high school, I joined the United States Marine Corps, where I stayed till my retirement. And while in the Marine Corps, I approved the call to preach and served Zion churches in the southwestern Delta Episcopal District and eastern North Carolina.
